SCHOOLS SOLAR SHARE OFFER 2019
As a member, you’ll know that we’ve been working with Bidwell Brook School to install a 30kw roof mounted solar pv array for quite some time. In tandem with this, we’ve also been working to move towards an open share-offer and re-finance the Hatchlands array. We had hoped that all of these things could be achieved in a single magical share-offer, however the looming closure of the feed-in tarrif means that this is not possible. So, rather than launching a brand new share-offer, we are legally able to invite you, as a member, to increase your share-holding to finance the projects.
This share-offer is for members only. For the legal terms, investments will be made on the same terms as the last share-offer, ie the 2014 Solar and Hydro Share Offer.
OPPORTUNITY TO INCREASE YOUR SHARE CAPITAL
This new opportunity will support solar energy installations at Bidwell Brook School and Stoke Gabriel Primary School.
Benefits to Schools
- Low cost energy – expected savings 10%
- More to spend on much needed resources
- Panels a great teaching aid
- Complements REEL
- Normalises renewable energy for the next generation
- Investment to help local economy and infrastructure
- Two schools change to renewable energy
To make these projects economically viable they rely on FIT which ends on 31st March 2019. So if you’d like to invest, please pledge now and pay for shares by 1st February 2019. This will enable us to install the systems during February half term holidays when the children are not around.
Maximum investment: £100k. Investors will be able to withdraw their money in 180 days after we move to an open share offer in Q2 2019.
